Why it matters in Florida
Sod fails here for two reasons: the wrong grass for the light, and under-watering in week one. Floratam needs six-plus hours of sun - put it under a live oak canopy and it thins out inside a season. For shade we recommend Palmetto or a Zoysia. We tell you which before we sell you pallets.

FAQ
Sod Installation questions
How long until I can mow it?
About two to three weeks - once it resists a gentle tug, the roots have taken.
How much do I water new sod?
Daily for the first 10-14 days, then taper. We leave you a printed schedule.
Why did my last sod die?
Nine times out of ten it's chinch bugs or a dry irrigation zone. We check both before quoting.
