Why it matters in Florida
Mulch does real work here: it holds soil moisture through the April-May dry stretch and keeps the sand from cooking root zones at 95 degrees. Two inches is the sweet spot - deeper traps too much rainy-season moisture against stems and invites fungus.

FAQ
Mulch & Bed Refresh questions
How often should mulch be refreshed?
Once a year in Florida. Our UV load and rain break organic mulch down faster than it does up north.
Rock or mulch?
Rock lasts longer and suits modern builds; mulch feeds the soil and keeps roots cooler. We use rock on narrow side yards and mulch around plant material.
Do you spray the beds after?
We can apply a pre-emergent so the fresh mulch stays clean. Ask when we quote.
Free quote. No pressure. Usually same-day reply.
Tell us the address and what the yard needs. Matthew or a crew lead gets back to you fast - most of the time within a couple of hours.
